Any Minolta Maxxum AF lens will mount to the current Sony DSLR cameras.
Minolta MC/MD manual focus lenses can be used with an adapter for the A-mount (Minolta Maxxum, Konica-Minolta D5 & D7 DSLRs and current Sony DSLR) cameras.
There is an adapter to use Minolta MC/MD mount lenses on the Canon DSLR cameras.

According to my local camera shop, Minolta is no longer in business so I can’t send it to them for repair. The camera was dropped and now it has a dark corner on the upper right hand corner of all the pictures taken with it. At this point, I am ready to just attempt the repair myself because no one will fix it.
Minolta is still in business not in the u.s. it in Europe you can get the parts though them

The names of the newest 35mm SLR cameras from…
Canon
Nikon
Sony
Olympus
Minolta
Thanks in advance.
Nikon is basically out of the 35mm SLR race. It’s still producing the F6 and FM10.
Canon still lists the EOS-1v, EOS ELAN 7NE, EOS Rebel T2, and EOS Rebel K2 on their website but these have been out for a while now. The company claims to offer continued support for their cameras but have hinted at the possibility of a pull-out.
Sony never made SLRs.
Olympus was out a while ago. Its last SLRs were the OM-3Ti and the OM-4T/Ti.
Minolta is no longer in the camera business.

For landscapes/scenics and general nature photography on a bright sunny day I use either Kodak Ektar 100 or Fujifilm Superia Reala 100. Both are ISO 100 and produce excellent prints.
For overcast or windy days I use Fujicolor PRO400H (ISO 400) or Kodak Portra 400VC (ISO 400, Vivid Color).
For people pictures I use Kodak Portra 160NC (ISO 160, Natural Color). Excellent skin tones.
When I shoot black & white I use either Ilford XP2 Super (ISO 400) or Kodak BW400CN (ISO 400). These films can be processed and printed at any 1 Hour Lab – just stress that the prints are SUPPOSED to be black & white.
I buy all my film on-line, either from eBay or one of these stores:
http://www.adorama.com
http://www.bhphotovideo.com
http://www.uniquephoto.com
I only buy on eBay if the seller is smart enough to list the Expiration Date.
I store my film in the refrigerator in an air-tight container.
Tips for good landscapes:
1) ISO 100
2) Camera on a triopd and level.
3) 21mm or 24mm lens at f16. If you focus either lens at 6′ your Depth of Field will be from 2′-1” to infinity with the 21mm or from 2′-5” to infinity with the 24mm.
4) Cable release or the camera’s self-timer to release the shutter.
I also use a polarizer filter.

My dad just gave me his old Minolta film camera with 3 lenses. Minolta went out of business since he’s had it but I would like to get a digital SLR camera body that would fit all the lenses he gave me. Anyone know of a digital camera body that would fit Minolta’s film lenses?
If the lenses are the older SR mount used on the SRT-100, 101, 102, 200, 201, 202 and X series, XG-9, XD-11, XE-7, X-700 then you can buy an adapter to use them on the current Sony DSLR cameras.
If the lenses are the A-mount first introduced on the Maxxum 7000 and still used by Sony then all you need is a Sony A230/330/380,700,850900 and your Maxxum AF lenses will work perfectly. The A850 & A900 are Sony’s full-frame (24×36) DSLRs.
