Which digital SLR is the best for an intermediate photographer?

I’ve been working with my 4 megapixel for some years now, but I feel I’ve outgrown it. I’ve been looking at digital SLRs lately, but they can get pricey. Would a regular film SLR be better? Or if you know a good site to get a 10 megapixel for a fairly decent price, that would be great! Could someone please help?

I am looking to buy a digital SLR camera. I had a minolta SLR film camera that died a few years ago and I still have all the parts. Would my quantaray lenses work with a new digital SLR camera? What about the attachable flash? What features should I look for in a new SLR camera?

How to get lomography effects with a regular digital SLR camera?

I am beginning to get interested in lomography, and I was wondering if I could do it with a regular camera. (I have a digital SLR, will that work?) All the photos of lomography I have seen seems as if they have extremely high contrast, and deepened depths of field. Is there a way to not buy a lomography camera and get the same results? Im getting back into photography after a long break and am really rusty! Thanks to anyone who answers!

What is a good digital SLR camera for beginners?

I would like buy a digital SLR camera for my husband for Christmas this year. I would like to spend less than 0 or not much more.
I’m not sure which camera would be best suited for us.
At Best Buy, the salesman recommended the Nikon SLR D40 – should I be concerned that it’s only 6 megapixles?
What camera would you recommend I get?
(If it would be super if you could provide a link to the camera you recommend!)

I am a starting out Photographer, and would link a camera that is Reliable, Good quality pictures, and a Reasonable price (under 1,000 dollars). I was wondering a few things:
Wheres the best place to buy digital SLR cameras online or in store?
What brand is good?
